I visited in June, and the four-person room was great. The interior felt heavenly, the locks were secure, and getting in was no problem.

The toilet wouldn’t drain properly, and waste remained even after I flushed several times. I asked the cleaning staff to come see it. They said they’d handle it right away, but there was no follow-up or action before check-out. The staff I spoke with only spoke Chinese, not Japanese. We eventually managed with a translation app, but what they told me felt like a flimsy lie. I tried calling the manager several times after the problem started and never got through. It’s a serious failure for a lodging place to be unreachable when a guest is in distress. The trip was ruined. This was the worst place I’ve experienced for both hygiene and customer service, and I strongly advise other travelers to avoid it.
