The hotel's price and location are very good value. It's close to Nippori station, on the Keisei Skyliner route to Narita Airport, next to Nippori fabric town, and a short walk from Yanaka Street. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. Breakfast has a good, broad selection, and the team are professional and dedicated. The hotel also has a public bath, a drinks corner with ice and a microwave, a spacious lobby, and luggage storage after checkout. The room was okay, though the toilet ventilation could be better.

The location is one of my favorite parts of Tokyo. Nippori Station is a convenient 200 meters away, Nippori Fabric town is 100 meters away, and there are lovely local restaurants and dessert shops nearby, including the famous Habutae. Asakusa is easy to reach by bus, while Nippori itself isn't overly touristy or crowded. I'd stay again, though it was expensive compared with Sendai and Kyoto. I guess that's Tokyo pricing. The hotel is decent and clean, with very small rooms in new but uninspired business-hotel style, and comfortable beds with nice linen. The public bath was a nice extra, but smelled strongly of chlorine, the water was lukewarm, and some guests ignored the posted etiquette without it being enforced. Breakfast was the standout, with lots of traditional and regional Japanese food and not much Western food.

The bathroom sink still had stains from the previous guest. I know this is a budget hotel, but cleanliness basics should be covered. The bed blanket was dirty, and instead of changing it, they gave us a wool blanket with no cover. That felt unhygienic.

Nippori is a quieter part of Tokyo with lots of good food nearby, and the station is a three-minute walk away. From there, you can easily get to the places you want to see around the city. The hotel staff were polite and very helpful. I also really liked the breakfast, and the rooms were nice.

I stayed for two nights and had a comfortable, clean room with enough space by Tokyo standards and good lighting. They put me in the Annex Building, facing a hospital, so I kept the blinds down most of the time. Nippori station is a three-minute walk away, with connections to Narita Airport and the Yamanote Line. Breakfast was very good, with a nice range of food and friendly staff. My only two complaints: they use styrofoam cups for hot drinks, and last orders at 9:30 AM felt quite early.
