The location was the only good thing about our seven-night stay. The room was far too small for two people with luggage and carry-ons; we could barely walk around. They also charge for things such as slippers that are usually complimentary elsewhere. The rules seem to be applied inconsistently. We were told laundry wasn’t allowed after 9 pm and had to find an outside laundromat the next day, which was understandable as a house rule. But on March 30 at about 22:50, we saw another customer doing laundry there, after we’d had to go out in the rain. That was extremely frustrating. If there’s a rule, it should apply to everyone, not change randomly. On the morning of March 27, a woman on duty gave us a bad impression. We didn’t get a greeting when we saw her downstairs, and I initially thought she was a guest because she looked unhappy. When we asked her something, she seemed like she didn’t want to answer. This is just how it felt to us, and we’re sorry if we misunderstood her, but it ruined our mood that morning. There were other small inconsistencies too: sometimes hairdryers weren’t taken out promptly, while at other times they were removed right on time. I really don’t understand that. Please stick to the rules you set. We won’t return or recommend this place.

We stayed seven nights in a twin room, and it looked like the pictures: small but clean. The staff were nice, easygoing, and very accommodating. The location was convenient, about a 7-10 minute walk from the train station, with a bus stop nearby and a 10-minute bus ride to Senso-ji Temple. Lawson is just across the street, around 40 meters away. The common area was cozy and quiet. There was good free coffee, tea, and a basket of free things like clothes, detergent, and cooking ingredients. It’s a great budget option, and the low price didn’t mean a letdown in quality or service. We had a really good stay and would recommend it to budget travelers.

The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and perfectly fine. What upset me was seeing how some of us Western tourists behave. Drops of pee on the toilet seat, people taking showers for over half an hour when there’s only one shower per floor, and no friendly or respectful response from anyone. If you’re coming to Japan just because it’s “cool” now, please stay home. This country is for people who can adapt. I feel deeply sorry for Japanese society, which welcomes tourists. If most tourists keep behaving this way, there will soon be measures taken.

The staff were friendly and helpful the whole time, and we had everything we needed. We felt well looked after, and the room was comfortable and clean. It was convenient to get around from here, too. We had a wonderful stay, thought it was great value for the price, and would definitely recommend the property and stay again.
