APA Hotel Asakusa Kuramae Ekimae

It’s a cheaper option, with convenience stores nearby, a supermarket just downstairs, and a Metro entrance or exit close by. Skytree is very near, while Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza, and Tokyo are all under about 30 minutes away. I had a good stay, and the staff tried their best to speak English as much as possible. They also offer luggage delivery to the airport, just ask at the counter.

The coin laundry was a big help, especially for a longer visit, and the location is hard to beat. Kuramae Station is right across the street, with restaurants, convenience stores, and supermarkets all around. Our room was compact, as is common in Japan, but well maintained and supplied with the essentials. Towels, robes, and bathroom amenities were refreshed almost every day, which we appreciated. Staff were friendly and efficient, so check-in and checkout were quick and easy. We had an excellent stay and will book this hotel or another APA branch on a future trip to Japan.

The room felt quite small for the price, especially compared with other hotels we’ve stayed in. Aside from that, it was perfect, with very good room service, amenities, and, of course, location.

Right by the station, it’s a great place to stay. The room is small, like at other budget-friendly hotels in Japan, but cozy and easy to manage. You’ll get your money’s worth.
