APA Hotel Komagome Ekimae

The shower setup here really stood out to me, especially the water heater, which was better than the one at my house. Rooms are a moderate size and have a huge TV, and some staff speak English well. There’s good food nearby, including Kobaya, the Japanese-Italian place right next door. The neighborhood has a suburban feel but great vibes, and JR and subway connections make it easy to get elsewhere. I travel to Tokyo often, and this is the hotel I’d most like to return to. The price is reasonable too.

I paid €763 on Agoda for nine nights in October 2024, and I really didn’t think it was worth it. When I came back to Tokyo in October 2025, I found an apartment in a better location for €1,080 for 30 nights. I don’t get the good reviews. Maybe people are just so happy to be in Japan that everything seems good to them.

I slept better here than anywhere else, the bed was that good. The hotel is modern and very clean, with lovely rooms that have everything you need, though they’re a bit tight for two people. Towels were replaced each day and the sheets every third day. It’s in a quiet area, within walking distance of a station for getting around Tokyo. There are a few restaurants nearby and a Family Mart next door. I’d definitely recommend it.

Being a couple of minutes from the metro and about a five minute walk from the JR station made getting around easy. The room was spotless and comfortable to sleep in, even though the building controls the AC. Service was great too. My only small annoyance was the lack of laundry on site, but there are several places within two blocks, so it wasn’t a major issue. One of the cleaner and more convenient APA locations I’ve stayed at. I’d recommend it.
