APA Hotel Roppongi Itchome Ekimae

The room was more compact than I expected, though it wasn’t the smallest I’ve stayed in, so it wasn’t a big issue. The hotel felt beautiful and a little luxurious for the price, and the staff were incredibly kind. The cleaning crew kept everything tidy too. There’s a bus stop right nearby, plus plenty of convenience stores, shops, and restaurants within walking distance. I was really impressed and would stay here again.

The room was great, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was fine. But the washing machines ruined my night. After 90 minutes in the dryer, my laundry was still really wet, so I had to hang it all around the room. It wasn’t even a large load. I’d have rated the hotel higher if I hadn’t spent the night dealing with that.

The rooms are pretty small, though we heard that’s standard for Japanese hotels. My wife and I still had a great first visit to Tokyo at APA Hotel Roppongi Six. It’s in a quieter part of town and close enough to metro stations to get around the city. After a 16+ hour journey, it was easy to get dinner our first night because the hotel has two restaurants. The staff were kind and helpful when we had questions and needed the luggage shipping service. We’d definitely come back.

The room was tiny, and housekeeping only came every three days. You can store luggage only on the day you check in or check out. On the plus side, towels are provided daily, and there’s a 24-hour self-serve mini shop, an ice machine, and a microwave. It’s near 7-11 and Familymarts, and multiple stations are about a 10-minute walk away. Roppongi station is up a steep hill, though.
