The rooms are larger than typical rooms in Japan, and the hotel is very close to the subway. There’s a Family Mart next door too. But when I booked, the site didn't say the onsen was only for male guests. That was a total disappointment, since the onsen was why I chose this hotel.
The hotel room was really quiet and exceptionally clean. The location is great, and having a family mart connected to it makes things even better.
We only went to the restaurant as part of a tour. The food was good, basic, and served quickly. The interesting thing was the self-propelled vehicle that collected dishes.
The hotel's location is great, on a main street near the temples and shrines, and about a 5 min walk across the street from the train station. Rooms are a bit dated, and the AC system was confusing, but service was great. The maid replaced our sheets and brought extra pajamas, and the laundry service add-on came in handy for my fiancee. If you're a foreigner, the reception has some kind of google translate device they speak into, which then speaks English back to the viewer and vice versa, making specific questions easier to communicate.
We stayed three nights and wished we had more time. The rooms were clean and neat, the rates affordable, the staff friendly, and breakfast tasty. ACH has what we'd expect, along with a great location. We wholeheartedly recommend Asakusa Central Hotel to anyone traveling to Tokyo. You won't regret it!
