浅草ザ アパートメント Asakusa The Apartment

Although the place is in a quiet area, just by Tawaramchi subway station and two stops from Ueno station, I wouldn’t pay this price again. The room is run-down and far below the cleanliness I expected from Japanese hospitality. There seemed to be fried chicken crumbs from the previous guests on the sofa, along with dust, sticky floors, peeling wallpaper in places, and insects in the shower. It’s advertised for up to eight people, but five adults with suitcases felt cramped unless we moved the furniture. The bedroom was fine, but the sofa bed was broken, so I had to sleep on the floor on the futon.
