Breakfast in the morning and easy chats with other guests later on made this feel more like staying with someone than at a hostel. Jiji is a legend, and I felt right at home. Easily my favorite hostel in Japan so far. ❤️

Evenings at Jiji's place often meant chatting in the kitchen over Japanese beer, and mornings started with a delicious breakfast shared with everyone. He welcomes guests into his cozy traditional home in central Tokyo with such a friendly manner. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back.

The place is very basic, so anyone looking for lots of amenities should stay somewhere else. But if you're fine with simple accommodations, it's a relaxed spot to meet people from all over. Jiji was the kindest, friendliest, most caring host I've met in all my travels. I'll happily return next time I'm in Tokyo.

Gigi was fantastic and so helpful. He even has "Japan Travel" books in English and Spanish. The place is close to several train stations, and the price was great. I felt at home with family and had a wonderful stay.

The location is amazing, right in central Tokyo and only a short walk from Tokyo station. Jij was so kind, gave us a tour, offered tea and coffee, and helped us find food and drinks nearby. The showers and toilets were clean. Beds were a bit stiff but kept us very warm. The rooms are small, so larger bags have to stay in the reception area.
