We stayed mainly for board games and visits to Asakusa and Tokyo Skytree, and the Oshiage Line station meant we could reach those areas without changing trains. Depending on your plans, the location may feel a little inconvenient: the property is somewhat away from the city center, and the nearest station is about a 10-minute walk. It may not be the best base for seeing all of Tokyo. The house is close to the railway tracks, so the bed can feel like it's shaking a little. One person in our group couldn't sleep without earplugs and an eye mask, so it may not suit people sensitive to noise or their surroundings. I slept without earplugs and didn't find the noise disruptive enough to be a serious problem. The board games were a highlight. Most have instructions in both Japanese and English, so guests can enjoy a wide variety regardless of language. Some are only available for purchase in Germany, which is known for its board game culture, making the place appealing for board game fans. We booked through a reservation website. Check-in was smooth and only took a few minutes because we'd registered our guest details in advance using the site sent via the booking platform. Check-out was just as straightforward, and the host's replies weren't slow. We had no trouble with check-in, despite other guests mentioning it. At the time of our stay, luggage could be left at the entrance after 1:00 PM. The official check-in time was 5:00 PM, as stated on the booking site.

The house was tidy and cozy, and we had a great stay, trying several games from the large board game selection for all ages. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. The main downside is the location: the railway is close and trains pass very often, so I'd recommend earplugs at night.

Getting into the house took 45 minutes. I called support three times, and each call ended with someone hanging up or the line cutting out. There were no clear directions, the host didn't help, and nobody apologized for the time we lost. It was sweltering inside when we finally got in, with no AC running in the middle of summer. The place smelled strongly of dirty grass and felt musty and stuffy. After a full day of travel, it was an awful welcome. The stress and lack of support made this place not worth it. I wouldn't recommend it.
