Capsule Hostel Suzumoriya

I’d stay here again. The train station was about an eight-minute walk away, and the staff were very friendly. The rooftop area was nice for eating and drinking, but it really needs beach umbrellas or something to shelter people from harsh sun or rain. I stayed five nights. It wasn’t very busy for the first three, but seemed full for the last two, and the capsule room started smelling like feet. The capsules themselves stayed odor-free, and they were spacious and comfortable. Each one also came with a decent-sized locker, which was reassuring.

The location was good, with convenience stores a short walk away and Kinshicho station about 10 minutes away. The facilities were good too, including smart toilets and showers with excellent water pressure. The capsules were clean and well maintained, and the beds were comfortable. Unlike other capsule hotels where I’ve noticed a funky smell, this place never felt unclean. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They let me check in late without charging a late fee. I’d stay here again 😊

The staff were friendly, and my capsule was nice and warm in winter. There’s a set of facilities on each floor, so you don’t have to wait to use the lavatory. My only issue was that the lockers are in the sleeping room, where people packing their bags can make noise.

Rio, Maria, Fuka, and everyone at reception and on the cleaning team were wonderful hosts. They gave me useful advice and recommendations, and I owe them all a CocaCola! I met lots of friends here, and liked that people could be social or keep to themselves. The showers were clean and worked well. The top bunks get a bit hot, while the bottom ones are cooler. I’m not worried about staying here again before heading home. Thanks again for being so great.
