Daiwa Roynet Hotel Tokyo Kyobashi PREMIER

The Miyabi branch was lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay. The decor was pretty, the TVs were huge, and the room had a dining area, separated double beds, a large bathtub, a big fridge, a humidifier, and an LG clothes steam closet. There was also a pillow menu alongside the amenities counter. The TV showed how busy the public bath and washing machines were. Breakfast was decent, and Kanazawa station was a three-minute walk away. There are three malls nearby, and tourist buses go around the samurai street districts. We also found the museum interesting. A couple of things to know: most shops close at 8 pm, and there's no rain shower, which was fine for us. The hotel could consider adding shower caps and body lotion to the amenities. I want to come back. Thanks for having us!

The rooms block out the noise really well, though there was a lot outside. If you can't open the window, it can get hard to manage the heat overnight. The beds are firm, which I don't usually like, but I still slept very well. Rooms are small, but the space is used efficiently and there's still a bathtub. I appreciated the included amenities, good appliances in the room and available to borrow, and the toiletry bar with extra items. I was surprised there weren't more Q-tips or water available. Staff didn't speak much English, but they were very kind. This was my first hotel in Japan, and it beat most of my hotel experiences in other countries. The location is great, next to the Ginza Line and 13 minutes from Tokyo Station. There's not really food at the hotel, but the 7/11 on the first floor more than makes up for it. I was grateful for the foot and facial recovery pads.

We stayed for a week. The best thing is the location: there's a 7/11 on the first floor, a restaurant on the second, and more restaurants and stores nearby. Kyobashi stations are close, and Tokyo station is about five minutes away. The check-out machine is very quick. I loved the shower, and the air conditioning cools the room well when you need it, even if you set it to 19 degrees Celsius. There are washers and dryers, a microwave, and an ice machine on two other floors. The downsides added up. The beds are quite firm, and my right hip is still sore because they're harder than I'm used to. The rooms are cramped, especially with more than two suitcases. The walls are thin, so you hear thumps from inside and outside, and noisy sports cars go by late at night. We didn't deal much with the service, but there were no extra comforters, and the blanket they gave us was thin. There's little bathroom space for toiletries, towels, or used clothes. The elevators always stop on the third floor. The comfort covers have no buttons or zippers, so the insides spill out, and the small fridge doesn't get cold enough. I also think the bathtub takes up too much room in the hallway area. It's pretty pricey for what you get. If you can handle those problems, the location is great. The hotel sign is too small and too high to see well, and we almost couldn't find it. Up close you can't see it, and from farther away it's tiny.

We were very happy with our stay. The room was well appointed, and the hotel has a shelf of amenities and toiletries at check-in, including face creams, moisturizers, razors, shaving cream, and bath salts. There's a 7-11 on the ground floor and an easy walk to the major shopping malls in Ginza. Kyobashi station is just steps away. Takaracho station is about a five-minute walk and gives you a direct ride to Haneda Airport, with no transfers. Tokyo Station is a five- to seven-minute walk, handy for the Shinkansen or airport limo bus.
