I've stayed in cheap hostels that were much better. The room seemed unclean, with mold, dust, hair, and dead bugs. The only good points were a convenience store one street away and the metro, about a six-minute walk.

We stayed for four winter nights, and for the price and being fairly close to everything, it was good. It's not a five-star hotel, but most of it was impressively clean. I did find mold behind the bathroom sink. The bathroom and toilet were standard for a Japanese hotel or apartment, though as a westerner I was impressed. It was compact and comfortable, with no frills. If you're tall or broad, expect a squeeze, as everything is small. The metro and a 7-eleven are both a ten-minute walk away. The air conditioning kept us warm well enough, although it was temperamental at times. A great Japanese experience.

This seems like a good option for a long stay. There's a washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, and lots of plates and cutlery. You handle your own cleaning and rubbish, though. My only real downside was the thin walls, since I could hear the neighbors.

We really enjoyed our stay in this modern, clean studio. It was in a great location too.

Small, cozy, and a nice place to stay.
