It was clean and comfortable for my daughter and me. We liked that the station wasn’t too far away and there was a convenience store nearby.

The location in greater Tokyo made the stay work out fine, and the management responded when I contacted them. The split-level unit was clean and fresh, with the toilet downstairs and bathroom upstairs, connected by a spiral staircase. But on arrival we were shocked to find our level 4 unit had no lift access. The three flights of open stairs were narrow, steep, clean, well maintained, and free of obstructions. Carrying an average 18kg bag up would have been close to impossible without the one strong man in our group. Upstairs, the kitchenette wasn’t well equipped for basic use: no dish drainer, paper towels, dishcloths or towels for drying dishes, and no oven toaster. Two small hooks were marked for 45L recycle bags. Extra tissues were stored with the toilet rolls in the toilet. I appreciated the clean bath and hand towels, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioners. There weren’t other amenities, which was okay, though cups by the wash basin would have helped. There were exactly four cups and four glasses in the cupboard for the four of us, leaving no spare cups for the bathroom. For a unit that sleeps four, it had only two tiny folding chairs and a swiveling folding table. Be careful not to put weight on one side or it could tip everyone over. A table wheel fell off with a slight shift, and I had to fix it. Good thing your guest is a handy-woman. One bed was actually a sofa bed, and both beds creaked and cracked. I was also taken aback by a request to help clean up before checkout, although it was an automatic message. Maybe they’d had a terrible experience with some guests?

I’m still staying here, but so far I’d give the accommodation 10/10. You’ve got everything you need nearby, and the station is only about a five-minute walk.
