Ginza Creston

The staff were genuinely caring, and the Japanese breakfast stood out. We also found the metro conveniently close, about an eight-minute walk away. Our room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, with a flawless view from the windows at sunrise and at night. The hotel takes up the upper floors of a high-rise. This is probably one of the best places I’ve stayed during all my travels.

Getting the shower temperature just right took some fiddling, and the hotel felt dated in its decor and atmosphere, even though the rooms were spacious. What really let the stay down was the front desk: the service felt mechanical and impersonal, with no greeting or smile and no welcome. The location was handy, about a six-minute walk to Tsukiji Station on the Hibiya Line. From there, Ginza, Roppongi, Ebisu, and Nakameguro are directly accessible.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ginza Creston in July 2025, my 10-year-old son and I. Our bedroom view was amazing and almost worth the hotel price by itself. The room was impressively spacious, especially for Japan. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was served at the table, with a plentiful, well-prepared spread of Japanese and international choices. It was also easy to get around Tokyo from this convenient spot, within walking distance of the fish market and close to a metro station. I’d happily return.

The smoking smell never went away, even after the room was supposedly deodorized twice, with a two-hour wait between treatments. We’d asked for a non-smoking room, but were told none were available despite arriving early and then waiting two hours to check in. The AC wasn’t blowing air. Its filter was completely blocked with cigarette grime, and the grates, lights, and other surfaces were dirty too. When I called the Front Desk, a gentleman came up to show me how to operate the AC. Once I pointed out the filthy filter, he said it could be cleaned “tomorrow.” I insisted, so he went to get a ladder and instructions. The filter needed replacing. This was unacceptable.
