Glamping Tokyo Asakusa - Hostel

The noise from the next room, including loud snoring, made it hard to sleep. I also found the late check-in charge disappointing. We left our bags in the room in the morning and staff asked for our passports, but nobody mentioned a fee. When we came back around 11 pm, we were told we had to pay extra because we “had not checked in.” Based on this experience, I can’t recommend the hotel.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They received my delayed luggage, sorted out change for the delivery fee, and accommodated us at checkout. There’s also free coffee and tea in the nice ground-floor common room. We had a neat, very clean two-person room, and the shared facilities were tidy with enough of them. The rooms can be a bit noisy, though there weren’t many people on each floor. The location is good: a roughly 15-minute walk to the metro, and you don’t really notice how close you are to the Asakusa area. It’s not expensive either. I’d recommend staying here.

The rooms are tiny, but clean and fun, and the showers and laundry are nice. The staff are very polite and speak fluent English.

There’s loads of room for the price, plus laundry, clean showers, and a café downstairs. The bed’s pretty comfortable too. Great value.
