We'd happily come back. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and our room was a decent size and spotless. It worked well as a base for seeing Tokyo: Ueno Station was a short walk away, the subway was in front of the hotel, and Okachimachi Station, for the Yamanote line, took about five minutes to reach.

The hotel was good for the price, and the staff were friendly and spoke English, which made communication easy. One thing to watch is how room types are advertised. I booked through Klook for a room called “Twin room with extra bed” and described as “3 beds,” but on arrival staff said that was just the name and I needed to pay extra for the bed.

The breakfast got repetitive fast, with the same food each day and only mackerel and salmon rotating. The rooms are very cramped, too. Still, the trains are close by, and the 14th floor has a lovely night view from its bar and dining area. Great spot for a drink and city views, though I'd probably skip breakfast every day.

The breakfast buffet was the highlight, and the dining staff were especially attentive, friendly, and helpful. We had a great three-night stay at Hotel MONday in a very convenient location. We'd stay again.

I stayed one night in a spacious twin room with a sofa and room for two suitcases. Check-in went well, and the 14/F sky bar had a nice view, plus free sake and ramen at night. The downside was the noise from the main road-facing room.
