The common room made this stay memorable: it was welcoming, and I had a great time chatting and laughing with guests from Japan and elsewhere. Bunk beds in a shared room are part of the deal, so you need to be comfortable with that. It’s also handy for Haneda, with a five-minute walk to the subway and three stops to Terminal 2. I’d stay again on another Tokyo layover.

Everything felt clean and comfortable here. The women’s washroom also has MUJI amenities, which was a nice touch.

Getting to the subway is easy, and the beds have a good amount of space plus privacy curtains. The lounge has plenty of video games, and the bathrooms were spotless with shampoo and other basics. Staff were really nice, too. There are large racks outside for drying laundry, which is useful if you need to wash clothes before a flight.

Travel can make me nervous, and Guest House Sensu felt like a good fit for the price. The staff were warm and welcoming, and it was a nice spot to rest or unwind with some old-school video games. The train station is a five-minute walk away. I’ll come back next time I’m in Tokyo.

Otorii Station is just a few minutes away on foot, so Haneda Airport and Shinagawa are easy to reach. The neighborhood also has plenty nearby, including produce and seafood markets, a Honey Plaza, coin laundry, Aeon, FamilyMart, Mini Stop, and lots of places to eat. We had a fantastic stay: the hosts were gracious, the room was comfortable, and I’m tempted to switch to a futon at home. It’s affordable and welcoming, and I’d absolutely recommend it. 5/5.
