Hatoya Hotel

The owners were so welcoming and even helped carry our luggage up and down the stairs. The place has a warm atmosphere, and I’d definitely come back on my next trip. Thank you so much!！☺️ We stayed for a week and found the room very clean and comfortable, with more space than some other places in Japan. The price was great for the size and location. It was quiet, so we could get proper rest after long days out. Ikebukuro Station is very close, making travel convenient. There’s a convenience store and market across the street, plus a few more convenience stores a couple of blocks away.

The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean, with nice amenities, and there’s a coin laundry right next door. Easily the best place I’ve stayed. 10/10, I’d stay again.

The owners were so kind and accommodating, even with a bit of a communication hiccup. They were happy to keep my luggage after checkout for the day. I stayed two nights after arriving in Tokyo, and I'd happily come back. The place has a slightly dated, retro feel, but it was sparkling clean, the room and bathroom were a decent size, and the value was hard to beat. Getting around Tokyo from here was easy too.

Two convenience stores right outside made it easy to grab breakfast or a late snack, and there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and izakayas along the walk to Ikebukuro Station. It's about a steady 10-minute walk to the station, a major Tokyo transit hub with access to the Yamanote line, so getting around the city is straightforward. For central Tokyo, the price and location are a rare deal. It's a friendly, family-run hotel; the rooms are basic and a little old, but clean and well kept. I'd consider staying here again next time I'm in Tokyo.
