The host let me arrive a little before check-in after I had trouble at the airport, and welcomed me like family. He and the cafe staff are kind, flexible, helpful, and lovely. I could also leave my suitcase there at check-in and check-out. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, but has what you need: a station, fish market, supermarket, restaurants, and good, cheap sushi. It’s also nice to walk around. The rooms are big enough to stand up in and have space for a suitcase. Each room has a toilet, shower, and kitchen, all very clean. The small living room feels cosy and just right. The morning coffee is the best, and the price is really good. This has been my favourite accommodation in Japan so far. It feels more like a house than a hostel, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo, even for a long stay. Thanks to the owner and staff. See you soon ♥️

There are only six beds in the shared room, so it feels quiet and peaceful compared with the cramped 15-bed hostels in central Tokyo. The personal bed space is unusually roomy for a hostel. I could stand up and change clothes comfortably without hitting my head. There are two toilets and two showers for the six beds, so I never had to wait. I had to take a few calls, and the free Wi-Fi worked well. There’s a chill-out area just outside the bedroom. The owner, who also runs the cafe next door, was amazing and gave everyone a free cup of coffee during cafe opening hours. I highly recommend this hidden gem if you’re looking for a quiet home base in Tokyo.

My mom and I had a relaxed, lovely stay in one of the private rooms, which are for women only. It’s a female dorm accommodation, so it won’t work for couples if one person is male. The owner replied quickly whenever we had a concern, and I’d recommend the place to others. There’s a private quarter, plus a shared kitchen and living room, Wi-Fi, and brewed coffee free every morning. You can cook or heat food, and the price is cheap compared with other places. It’s clean and spacious, and close to a train station, mall, market, cafe, and restaurants. The train noise is noticeable whenever it passes, though it quiets down after midnight when the trains stop. It takes about an hour to get to Shibuya and nearby areas, and 30 minutes to Asakusa. The Wi-Fi stopped working around 2-3 am twice or maybe three times. I didn’t ask for help at that hour, but internet matters to me because I use a laptop, so I’d suggest having pocket Wi-Fi or a data plan as backup. Also, the station isn’t covered by the Tokyo subway pass, so you still need a Suica card. I only realized that late, after trying to make the most of my pass 😆

I spent a month here, and the room really suited me. It was comfortable and well placed for getting around central Tokyo, with good Metro connections. There’s also a bus shuttle to Haneda airport about a five-minute walk away. A Mile Coffe nearby has delicious coffee and bakery treats, and there’s a fish market where you can get tasty Japanese seafood. Luan, the owner, is one of the kindest people I’ve met. He’s responsible and attentive when it comes to sorting out any problems. I miss Good Coffe - Good People too!!

The owner and cleaner were friendly, kind, and generous, but I was very disappointed with the accommodation. It isn’t a hostel, just a room where the kitchen, bathroom, and beds are all together. The noise and smells from that setup were pretty annoying, and I found the place very overrated. The listing was misleading. We booked a four-bed dorm but were given a six-bed studio with people living there who made us uncomfortable. I definitely wouldn’t call it a place for a woman travelling alone. Cleanliness and hygiene were poor too. The cleaning was very quick, and we found hair in the kitchen sink and moldy showers. The room was cold because the heater didn’t work properly. I’d rate it 3/10, but I’m giving it 1 because I think it’s overrated and want the rating to come down. I’ve attached photos to show what I mean. And to the owner, please don’t reply telling me I should’ve spoken to you during my stay. The misleading listing has no excuse.
