Hotel Azuma See

The host was really supportive and answered questions within minutes, so feel free to ask them anything about your stay. Togoshi-koen station is just a minute away, which was super convenient for us, and although the Airbnb is so close to the tracks, we could barely hear the trains. There’s a supermarket and a small restaurant nearby with a nice atmosphere.

The overhead lights that wouldn’t turn off made it frustrating to sleep. We also found the trash can too small, especially since there aren’t public trash cans around Tokyo. The location was nice, close to the train.

The host communicated wonderfully, and the room had great beds, bathrooms, a shower, AC, and Netflix. Three of us had plenty of space without feeling cramped, and it was in a nice location close to the train station. It may have been the nicest accommodation of our two-week trip in Japan for its amenities. Still, we barely slept. The hotel clearly listed quiet hours in the manual and when booking, but from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. there was screaming and people running up and down the stairs. Someone tried to get into our room many times. The guests above us seemed to be either having a party or throwing around a 20-pound bowling ball without catching it on purpose. The noise and the lack of care for our experience were a letdown.

There isn’t much to do right nearby, though the general area is fairly close to the heart of the city. The place was spacious and comfortable with the essentials, and getting there, checking in, and checking out were easy. Togoshi-koen station is just a two-minute walk away. Sometimes other residents came back late and made noise, which could be a problem for early risers or light sleepers.
