The breakfast buffet had a lot to choose from, including freshly made omelets, sausage, Japanese style bacon, curry and rice, soups, pasta, plus plenty of toppings, juices, coffee, and desserts. They even had mimosas. The Tower rooms have a new design that makes good use of Japan sized rooms, and the bathroom was nice with a deep tub. I liked the desk areas, though there wasn’t a spot to sit and put on makeup with a mirror. The design felt clearly aimed at men's tastes. Hospitality was pretty good all things considered. They accommodated room changes without a fuss, even while hosting Deaf Olympics participants, conferences, tour groups, and families. With so many English speaking guests, they really need someone on staff from a country where English is spoken.

I hadn't realized I'd stayed here 18 years ago until the place looked familiar. It's still one of my favorite hotels, and getting around from this location was easy. The rooms were so clean, too. The free bike rentals were a lovely bonus. Just ask the front desk for a bike, and you can use it for up to five hours. I'll be back next time I'm in Tachikawa.

It took a fair bit of searching to find the hotel, but the price made it worthwhile. It suited me perfectly for a business trip in the area. There’s a station just around the corner, and the train system is very efficient, but if you’re sightseeing, getting into central Tokyo takes time you might prefer to spend elsewhere. I didn’t try the hotel breakfast, so I can’t comment on the food.

Donki and Daiso are right across the street, and the area itself was fairly quiet. The hotel was nice and clean, and I’d stay there again if I needed to be in Tachikawa. We were there because a large IKEA branch is close enough to walk to. It was a bit of a trek, but manageable in the nice January 2024 weather. After buying heavy things, we took a taxi back. Tachikawa station is also just a few minutes away on foot, with an elevator that made getting our luggage through easier. The train trip from Narita Airport takes about two hours, which made getting here tiring compared with the more popular parts of Tokyo, roughly an hour from the airport.
