Hotel KAHNI - Adults Only

I stayed in room 401, and it was extremely dirty. Dust covered the fabric hanging from the ceiling, the chandelier, and the corners. The sink was still wet and hadn’t been cleaned, so I had to clean it myself before using it. Some cushions had holes in them. There’s a warehouse next door, and the noise from sheets being changed in the morning was bothersome. I should have booked a different room, since it was cheaper.

The price is reasonable and the bathroom is quite large. But the shower hook is broken, so it can only be hung very high. If there’s a limit on the number of rentals, I wish they’d told me beforehand. And if they don’t provide welcome food or sweets, they should turn it off!

I booked here because other hotels were expensive that day and this one cost much less. When I let them know I’d arrive earlier than expected, they were accommodating, which I really appreciated. The building seemed old, but the room had a nice atmosphere. The bed, table, and other visible areas were cleaned properly. A few details bothered me, though: the complimentary instant coffee was messy on a plate on the shelf, and a used bandage was floating up from the sink drain. I understand that a central Tokyo hotel may prioritize turnover, but I wish they’d cleaned more thoroughly. I was also a little disappointed that food service was suspended.

July 2025: It had been a while since my last stay. Room 203 had a distinctive interior with rows of pig figurines, but I could relax there. I came back in January 2024. That room was mostly white, and I was able to relax. On another return in December 2023, I was able to check in before my reservation time, which was convenient, and I had a larger room where I could unwind. The price is very attractive, and single occupancy is possible, making it a good choice for business travelers. The outside may look old, but inside it’s compact and clean. The hotel is just across the Kan'ei-ji overpass from the north exit of Uguisudani Station. If you’re bringing your own luggage, it’s convenient to purchase it in front of the station. The 6 PM check-in plan was very convenient.
