Hotel Mystays Haneda

The best part of the service came after we got home: we realized we’d left behind a fairly expensive adapter, and the hotel had already found it and kept it for us. Since we’d left Japan, they sent it by courier, which made us very happy. The breakfast had both Japanese and Western options and was good. Getting to Haneda on the shuttle bus was easy, and there’s a convenience store and vending machines near the hotel. We had a great stay.

Rooms are small, as usual in Tokyo, but breakfast was good and there’s a self-service laundry area. The hotel runs a free shuttle to and from the airport on a fixed schedule. Toyota and Nissan rental cars are within walking distance. Behind the hotel there’s a beautiful shrine with lots of red Tori gates.

The room had all the amenities I needed, though a lot of them were low down, around knee height, which was tricky with my one-year-old wanting to touch everything. I also noticed scratches on the wallpaper, and it didn’t look very clean. The front desk staff member was friendly and explained the free airport shuttle, including how busy it gets and when to line up to get a place. Convenience stores, restaurants, and a rental car shop are all walkable. We stayed one night before an early flight from Haneda, and it worked well for a short stay.

The wooden strip between the bathroom and toilet was slippery. I forgot to put down a towel, slipped, and got slightly injured, so I hope they’ll add some anti-slip protection or a safer surface. Aside from that, I really enjoyed staying at Hotel MyStays Haneda. The room was comfortable, and the facilities and amenities made everyday life easy. I’d still consider staying again.
