HOTEL SUI KANDA byABEST

Rea at the front desk made the stay feel especially welcoming. She was kind, greeted guests with a warm smile, and paid attention to the details. She went above and beyond to make everything smooth and enjoyable, and I felt genuinely cared for. We stayed five days at Hotel SUI Kanda by Abest. It was clean and comfortable, and its location near Kanda Station made it easy to explore Tokyo and find restaurants nearby. I'd absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.

We were happy with our stay. The hotel staff were kind and always smiling, and Rea helped us with information and by talking to the UBER we had booked because I'd entered the wrong location. She really helped us a lot. The free takoyaki, coffee, and alcohol were good too. Kanda station is within walking distance, as are Tokyo station, Akihabara, and Ginza. For us, none of those walks felt too far, and we enjoyed seeing more of local Japan before getting to the main sights. The local restaurants under the stations were a nice way to see how Japanese people enjoy life after work. We'll come back at sakura time to see more of Japan.

Kanda made a good base, close to Tokyo station and served by both the Ginza and Yamanote lines. Most tourist spots took us around 20-40 minutes to reach, and Kamakura was about an hour away. The hotel is a five to six minute walk from the south exit of Kanda station. It's not super close, but the walk meant it was quiet at night and we slept well. There are quite a few local restaurants near the station too. The twin room was very small, with little space for two suitcases, but the bed was comfortable, if perhaps a little hard for some, and the blanket was thick. The lobby had free eye masks, ear plugs, and face masks. Staff were friendly and patient, and service was great. During happy hour in the late afternoon or early evening there was free sake and takoyaki. Coffee was free as well, though breakfast cost extra. I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it.

Rea at reception made our stay. She was so kind, suggested places to eat when we arrived, and shared tips for our Pokepark trip that made it much better. The hotel itself was comfortable, with plenty of amenities and free tea and coffee in the shared area. It’s well placed for exploring Akihabara on foot, and there’s a metro nearby for getting around Tokyo in about 30 minutes. Great place to stay!
