Hotel Urban

The room lived up to the reviews about its size. There was plenty of space for my two large suitcases, and the hot shower kept running. I also appreciated that the aircon could switch to heat. A few exits from Ikebukuro station are nearby, so the location is handy. The downside is that the nearest exit, I think the one by Lumine mall, has no elevator. Carrying both suitcases up its long stairs was a workout. There are also bars and izakaya around the hotel, so it can get noisy late at night. Still, good value and a great base.

A quiet alleyway spot close to Ikebukuro JR and subway stations, with Lawson and 7-Eleven just around the corner. Restaurants, cheap places to eat, little bars, karaoke, and other entertainment are all nearby. The rooms are quite large, and the inner door helped me sleep well. There's a kettle, fridge, and safe in the room, and the whole hotel is non-smoking. They ask guests to leave the key card at reception when going out and seem strict about not allowing outside visitors. Good place.

The metro is really close, and the room was tidy with bottled water, tea, and coffee. The staff were very helpful too. What a nice find.

The room was clean and had everything I needed, and the staff were very polite. I'd absolutely stay again.
