The accommodation was clean and tidy, and all the staff were very nice. It’s really close to exit c1a, with a 7eleven just a minute away. This was my first solo trip to japan, and I’d recommend staying here to anyone visiting japn alone.

We spent four nights here in the annex, which had its own toilet and bath plus a place to relax. It was spacious, and we got what we paid for. We’d told the front desk days ahead that we’d be checking in very late. They replied quickly and explained another way to check in by ourselves.
The main issue is getting there from Ikebukuro Station. The station is huge, and finding the right exit can be a challenge. The hotel is only five minutes from the exit, but it takes longer to reach your JR line. If you’re bad with directions or don’t want to figure out the station, don’t rely on reviews saying it’s five minutes away. Good luck carrying big luggage for ten minutes! I stayed in the annex of the main building. There’s no elevator, and the four floors are connected by spiral stairs, which are tough if you’re tired, coming back late, or have leg problems. The single room was extremely small, and the tatami smell was strong. It is a good option if you’re looking for somewhere cheap and well located in Ikebukuro. The shared areas were very clean, and the staff were kind.
We were three family members and stayed for two nights. The room had good heating on cold nights, and the tatami and futon beds were comfortable. They’d provided all the necessities, and the hotel offered good value. The toilet inside the room was very narrow, though, and might not be comfortable for someone bigger or taller. Thanks for the hospitality. We’d stay here again if we’re back around Ikebukuro.
Noise from the surrounding area was constant, and I had a really hard time sleeping. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you want somewhere quiet.
