We stayed for a week after booking just two days ahead; confirmation came in about three to five hours. The place is a short walk from a station, with a combini, a little grocery shop, pharmacy, and several restaurants on the way. The other station exit has more places to eat and more combinis. There's an old-fashioned sento just 30 steps from the entrance, and you can do laundry in the coin machines while enjoying a long bath. The laundry here cost 50 yen more than the one next door. The area seemed residential and quiet, apart from nearby construction while we were there. Our four-bed room was on the third floor, and there is no elevator. We could open all our suitcases at once, which made the room feel spacious and was a lot better than a similar-sized hotel room for the price. There was dust along the ends of the bed rails when we arrived. I assumed there was dust on the bunks too, but by then I didn't care. The mattresses were comfortable, with clean sheets and blankets. The electronic keypad lock meant we didn't have to pass one key around between roommates. We had a mini fridge, small electric kettle, four plastic cups, one luggage rack, and a piece of plexiglass that fit over it as a makeshift table. There was also a small TV, roughly 30-35 inches, and a large recycling and garbage bin, around 13 gallons, I think. Towels in small and large sizes, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and slippers were supplied. The AC blew cold, though it smelled a bit funky at first. It had an 'ion' setting that I think was meant to purify the air. Each bed had its own light and outlets. There was no service during our stay. For a week, that meant reusing towels or washing them at the coin laundry next door. The room was very reasonably priced. Can't complain.

The room smelled foul as soon as we walked in, like dampness or sewer gas, and we all noticed it. We opened the window and got air freshener from the self-service area downstairs, but the same smell hit us whenever we came back during our two-day stay. The bunk bed, sheets, and toilet were otherwise clean. Space was very tight, with just a folding stool to use as a table and the edge of the bunk as a seat. There's no elevator in the building. Check-in was a mess. This is a self-check-in, contactless hotel with no staff on site, but I had to contact customer service three times: first to confirm the booking in the morning, then again when no check-in instructions arrived. The first staff member who replied was likely in EST, so it would have been her bedtime. I emailed the general customer service address and got no answer, then tried customer service in the UK. That person kept telling me to go to the front desk despite my explaining there wasn't one. She said she'd contact the hotel's front desk, then 20 minutes later sent my room number and PIN in reply to my earlier email, with no apology. That was an hour after I first tried to check in. The nearest public transport is JR Yamanote station, about a 10-minute walk to the east entrance with a small suitcase. None of the exits have a contactless option for entering the gates. You need an ICOCCA or Suica card or app, or a paper ticket, so it's inconvenient if you want to pay for transit by credit card. At most, I'd give the stay 2 out of 5. One of my worst accommodation choices.

I was comfortable here for three nights. The location near the station was great, and there was a konbini nearby. My room was a bit small, but the bed was very soft. The bathroom was okay.

It's an affordable little place near both the train station and places to eat. With so much of what you need available outside in Tokyo, this accommodation has the essentials.

We had a cozy quadruple room with bunk beds, and the place was good overall. Komagome Station is fairly close. Just be aware there's no elevator.
