The location is amazing, and it’s easy to get anywhere. The bed is big, with private shelves for your things, three sockets if you turn the light off, and a mirror right beside the bed. They have the amenities you need, including a hair dryer. The shared area has a notebook you can use for free, security cameras in operation, drinking water, booklets, and a refrigerator. People were really nice. When I had a bedbug problem, they moved me to another room and arranged pest control as quickly as they could. I felt I could talk to them about problems and they’d do their best to help. The shower stalls were cleaned daily, and the changing area was separate from the shower, which helped keep my things dry. There were bedbugs, as I mentioned, but after I told them, they addressed it, and I was fine for my last few nights. The mattresses were very thin, and every one I tried felt like it had little stones inside.

It was okay, and the location was fine, but it was probably my least favorite of the five hostels we stayed in on our two-week Japan trip. There was no breakfast or towels, and it was the first place where I felt the bathrooms needed a good cleaning.

It’s close to the subway, which was the one good thing for us. After reading reviews, I decided to give this hostel a try, but they weren’t wrong. We booked seven nights and left after the third, LOL. I’m not sure how often they clean at Inno. At other hostels I’ve stayed in, things were cleaned every day, but the same scum and residue marks stayed on the toilets here for days. The bunk was filthy, and the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable, with the springs poking into me. I’m usually fine with thin or hard mattresses. Walls around the beds didn’t block sound either. A group of Koreans were very loud and inconsiderate of other guests, though I’m not sure if they lived or worked there. I got bitten by bugs on the third night, and that’s when we left. There are no lifts, and the dorm doors don’t close by themselves. There’s no access card or anything, so you can’t really lock the doors. The air conditioning worked, but seemed too small for a dorm with 16 bunks, and once you closed your shutter, you were left without it. If all you want is somewhere to sleep, go ahead. But if you expect cleanliness, I’d avoid it. For about the same price, we found a cleaner, more pleasant hostel nearby. We left without complaining directly because a friend was still staying there and we didn’t want to put him in a difficult position. From the negative reviews on several sites, it seems to me that the owners don’t care about the current state of the hostel.

I only spent one night here during a transit stop. It’s easy to reach by metro, with plenty of places to eat nearby. It isn’t especially clean, modern, or luxurious, but it has what you need for a short stay.

The location is great, with both the Ginza Line and Namboku Line about a two-minute walk away. The staff were nice, and the facilities were clean.
