The concrete walls didn’t make the place feel like home. It felt more like an inmate’s home. We booked a medium apartment, but were moved into a tiny one, and there were almost no blankets or cushions. We stayed at Laffitte for over a week, but it felt like a hundred days. The bed-shaped torture chamber left me with excruciating back pain, enough that I feel I’ll need medical back support for life. We didn’t even get an apology. Don’t make the same mistake we did by staying here.

Our family of five visited in July 2024 and stayed on the fifth floor, reached by a narrow stairwell. The loft was hard for adults to climb into because of the vertical ladder. Its window had no shades, and it got very hot up there. The bed-couch was lumpy and uncomfortable. The worst part was a four-foot stretch of black mould behind the fake tree in the living room corner. We wrote to the Chinese owners twice, but they wouldn’t refund our fees or compensate us for what we consider a serious health hazard. I sent several photos from different angles to show it was definitely their place, but got no response. I’d avoid their place and company because they lack integrity.

It’s spotless and spacious, with everything you need, and a convenience store is very close. The train station is nearby too. Most of all, the staff were friendly and helpful with all our needs. I highly recommend it. Thanks, Lafitte Tokyo, for a wonderful stay.

There’s a 7/11 right next door, so food is easy to find, and the Tozai line is close by for getting around. The rooms are clean and nice, with plenty of space for a Tokyo stay.
