The quiet mornings, aside from a few pedestrians, were a plus, and the location is excellent. Bus stops and Keisei Railway stations are just a 2-3 minute walk away, with frequent trains and buses and quick access to the city center. Drugstores, restaurants, convenience stores, and laundromats are nearby too. For independent travelers, it’s a comfortable, relaxing guesthouse at a very affordable price. It has everything I needed. The owner is very hands-off and gives no check-in or check-out instructions, so it feels like living there. There's no sign outside either, which I actually liked for that same reason. There were problems with the locks: the toilet door wouldn't lock, and the main entrance couldn't be secured. They provided a padlock but no password. The Wi-Fi password wasn't shared proactively, and the floor was a bit dirty. For the reasonable price and freedom it offers, I'd still choose it again for independent travel, though I hope the owner fixes the locks and provides clearer check-in instructions.
