There’s no front desk, so when I opened the toilet door and saw a German cockroach twitching on its back, there was nobody to help. That alone was a real turn-off. The room seemed clean at first, but had a slight smell. First-floor rooms are right by the entrance, so you hear people coming and going, and the Wi-Fi is weak and drops out easily. The cleaning fee is 5000 yen, which feels expensive for a short stay. Towels and toothbrushes were the only amenities provided, and the microwave is in the entrance hall. For either a short or long visit, I’d choose a hotel instead.
