Marroad Inn Tokyo

The neighbourhood was very clean and quiet, and I loved the place. The hotel is expensive, but being close to the metro helps make up for that. Higashifuchu station is just nearby, which is great for travelers. The rooms are tiny and feel a decade out of date. The bathroom and toilet are strictly functional, so they may suit people who don't need much space for their things. The ground floor restaurant serves food that's good enough in taste and quantity, and its staff know a little English. The corridors, especially around reception, smell of cigarette smoke, though it wasn't a major issue.

The train station is right beside the hotel, and supermarkets are very close. A short walk also takes you to the horse-racing track and a nearby shrine, so getting around is convenient. It's an old business hotel, and it wasn't as clean as I expected. The water from the faucet smelled a little odd. There's a restaurant on the ground floor that looks elegant, and the food looked delicious, but I didn't try it.

For an affordable stay, the Marroad Inn has the kind of average 3-star setup you'd expect: Wi-Fi, breakfast, somewhat small rooms, and no pool. The staff are nice and speak some English, so it works well for English-speaking guests.

Breakfast got repetitive, and the rooms feel pretty dated. Still, it’s clean and covers the basics, so it works well if you’re trying to save money.
