The separate toilet, bath, and washbasin meant different people could use them at the same time, which helped us make better use of our time. Reception gave a clear, detailed explanation at check-in, and there were lots of food options nearby. The room itself was perfect, though I found the bed too hard and the pillows too soft. That may just be personal preference, since my mum and girls were fine with them. It’s quite a walk to Ikebukuro JR station, but the nearest metro exit, C9, is a quick walk, probably 5-7 minutes.

There’s no hotel parking, and parking near the train station is expensive. You might find cheaper options farther from the station. Some rooms have washing machines, though a wash cycle can take 4-5 hours. Receptionists speak English during the day. The location is good, about a 10-minute walk from the JR train station, with lots of food and shopping within a 20-minute walk.

The location was excellent, close to Ikebukuro train station, so getting to other parts of the city was easy. My room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I had an amazing stay at Mimaru and would highly recommend it for solo or family travel.

The Pokemon details made the room a lot of fun, and there was plenty of space for a family. Service was great, and the hotel is well located, just a short walk from the station and shops. We had a great time in the Pokemon room!

We had a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette, washing machine with dryer, and fridge, which was really convenient for a longer stay. There were coffee spots and plenty of places to eat nearby, and the station was about a six-minute walk away. The rooms were huge, clean, and comfortable, with loads of room to relax. It’s a very family-friendly hotel, great for groups or families. 5/5, highly recommend, and we’d definitely stay again!
