MIMARU Tokyo Ueno North

The staff were kind and helpful, and we made good use of the same-day luggage delivery from the hotel to Haneda airport. It gave us time to spare before our flight. The hotel is on a quiet street within walking distance of Ueno station, and we'd stay here again. Our four-adult group had a room with four single beds and plenty of space for all our luggage, so packing everything up never felt cramped. The decor was simple, but the room was roomy. We also cooked breakfast there, with a grocery store less than a ten-minute walk away. That was a nice change after a week of eating out in Japan.

Christie greeted us so warmly and even gave us lollies, stickers, and craft supplies for our travellers. That personal touch made the trip memorable. My family and I had a lovely stay, and the room was great. We especially liked having a big table for quick dinners with food from the convenience store. The hotel is also very handy for Ueno train station.

The atmosphere was nice and the hotel was comfortable. The staff were friendly and really helpful, including when they helped us get our luggage out. They also lent out things for free, such as an umbrella, charging port, and slippers. We had a great stay.

This was our favorite hotel of the trip. It gave us a good base for our first days exploring Japan, near both Ueno Park and the train station. The rooms were nice, with two bunks and a larger bed, and one of the few places we stayed that had a little table where we could sit and eat. Staff were friendly throughout.
