I booked the wrong dates by accident and asked to cancel the same day I made the booking. They still charged me more than half the cost of the stay. I was going to book again for different dates, but now I definitely won't.

I booked a room for May, but seeing multiple bed bug reviews on several travel sites made me uncomfortable about staying here. When I tried to cancel that same day, I was told there'd be a $120 USD cancellation fee. I didn't run into a problem like this at any of the other places we booked for the rest of our stay. I'd avoid staying here.

The beds weren't very comfortable, but for the price we were happy with our stay. Check-in took a long time after a long day of travel. A decent budget option.

The room was large, and the air conditioning worked really well. It's close to OKU station, and I found the hotel very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay and will come back many times.

A few things to consider before booking. Checkout is a strict 10 am, while check-in is at 4 pm, and the stairs are very narrow. There’s an extra 3500 yen cleaning fee that you might not see in the payment details, which can make the place as expensive as other options. They also require a 20000 yen deposit when booking two weeks ahead. It ties up your money, which is released 7 days after the trip. The manager never seems willing to help with requests to adjust plans or other arrangements, and those requests are always declined. Also, there are past reviews about bed bugs. I wish I'd seen them before booking. If there was a bed bug problem, I worry it could spread into a serious situation and be hard to get rid of.
