For a budget holiday, it’s fine. The room worked for sleeping, and there are lots of convenience stores nearby. Kamata Station isn’t far. There’s Garuda cafe near the station for halal food, plus a few other shops, though you’ll need to be willing to take the train if you don’t want to walk. The toilet is a little small, but understandable for the size of the building. The room only really suits two people. For three people or a family, it’d be better to book two or three rooms. The rooms aren’t connected.

The staff were pleasant, but my room had a really strange smell and black mold. There’s a fire station almost right next door, which explains the earplugs they offer at the front desk. You get what you pay for, I guess. As a tourist, I’d spend a little more for somewhere closer to central Tokyo. I ended up using the savings on taxis and transport anyway.
The staff were friendly, professional, and quick to sort things out. My first room was too hot because the AC came through a vent near the door and bathroom, but none of the cool air reached the bed. Sleeping there was uncomfortable, so I woke in the night and asked for help. They gladly moved me to a much larger room with a window AC unit that blew toward the bed and cooled the whole space. I really appreciated how accommodating they were. The location is quiet and convenient, with shops, convenience stores, and the train station all a three-to-seven-minute walk away. Breakfast is light, mostly pastries. Water, ice, hot tea, and coffee are available around the clock. The price was a great deal: what I’d usually pay for two hotel nights in the US covered my whole eight-night stay here. The bathroom is small, and the tub is very high, so you have to step up quite a bit to get in. They provide toothpaste and a toothbrush, and I loved the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There’s a complimentary robe and slippers, plus a safe, kettle and cups, hangers, and a freshening spray for your clothes or room. The mini fridge is very limited and probably fits only four to six regular water bottles. The desk has a middle compartment that opens into a vanity, with a mirror, so you can sit and get ready. I’ll definitely stay here again when I return to Japan.
The service was great, and it’s only five minutes from the station. The rooms are on the small side and there weren’t any wardrobes, but it’s a very nice place to stay.
I love this little home away from home. It’s the classic budget stay in Japan: friendly staff, tiny but cozy rooms, and whatever you need close at hand.
