Ryokan & Day Shizuku

The entrance is tucked away from the busy street, which gave the hotel an intimate feel. The staff were very friendly, and the room was beautiful, with an even nicer bathroom and a great soaking tub. WiFi and toiletries were included. The mini fridge was tiny, but it fit two bento boxes and a few drinks. Downstairs they had free coffee and hot cocoa on tap, plus soda and orange juice. The beds felt a bit firm, so we slept on top of the comforter with extra sheets we asked for. For this price in Tokyo, I don't think you'll find a better experience. Well worth staying.

There were lots of nice amenities, and they even give you a bag of them at check-in. Downstairs, there are plenty of free drinks, and the room fridge had some healthy drinks too. The bath was nice, and you can ask the front desk to try different bath soak powders. It's the only room I've seen that also provides a curling iron! The mattress was a little soft. If your room is near the gas station, you might hear loud music.

The room, private bath and toilet were all extremely clean, and the setting was spot on. Service was awesome. The staff don't speak much English, but they know enough to help guide you where you need to go.

Each room had its own soaking tub, which I loved. This is a traditional ryokan with some modern touches. The rooms were spacious, though the layout felt cramped when we had a lot of luggage. The amenities were luxurious and modern without pushing aside the design. Everything was very clean, and the staff were super friendly.
