Shinagawa Prince Hotel East Tower

The room felt old, and noise from the cleaner's room beside mine meant I couldn’t wake up naturally in the morning. The Wi-Fi was poor and disconnected while I was in a web meeting. The hotel hadn’t even posted a notice for customers about it. I complained to the front desk, but they couldn’t really understand my concern. If you can’t speak Japanese, the front desk manager has a poker face while you’re trying to communicate. I don’t know how this hotel gets a 4 star review. For the room quality and service, the price is totally not worth it. A 2 to 3 stars hotel has far better service than this.

The breakfast setup needs work. There were too many people for too few seats, with a long que just to get in at 6:30. It’s odd that in-house guests have to pay the seating charge at the Skybar. The connections are great, and the rooms are spacious by Japanese standards. If you get a room facing the right way, the view is great too.

The view from our room was amazing, and I really liked the shops attached to the hotel. It’s right by the train, too, which made the location great. We only stayed one night before heading home. The other rooms had sold out, so we had to take smoking rooms, but it wasn’t too bad. Check-in took forever and was annoying with three rooms. I’d stay here again.

The complimentary lounge made it easy to catch up on emails or have an informal meeting, with breakfast and drinks available throughout the day. The staff were professional and multilingual, so check-in and getting help went smoothly. The rooms are efficiently laid out, with comfortable beds, good Wi-Fi, and a quiet atmosphere for resting or working. With Shinagawa Station nearby for the airports and Shinkansen connections to major cities, Shinagawa Prince Hotel East Tower is a convenient choice for frequent business travelers and offers a good balance of comfort and value.
