My bed didn’t even have a mattress, and there was no hot water. It was a filthy, awful space. You’d be better off sleeping in a park.

From 11 pm until 4 am I couldn’t sleep at all. The door uses a code, and when people enter it wrong, as most seemed to, they pull on the locked door and make a ton of noise. Stay at the 24hr cafe nearby, that’s what I recommend. At 4 am I’d had enough and went to the cafe. I slept much better there, and for less money. This place is garbage, the worst place to stay in Japan. I’ve stayed in lots of capsule hotels in Japan, and this one is by far the absolute worst.

I’ve been to Japan four times and stayed in hostels every time. This was by far my worst experience, and the place didn’t come close to the standards I expect in Japan. There was mold in the showers, dust, dirt, and hair everywhere. I even stepped on a metal pin needle in the room. The room lock is extremely loud, and people were constantly talking, coming in, and leaving. There was no respect for people trying to sleep, and no staff enforcing the house rules. The beds felt like rocks, and there was so much dust in the sleeping cabin that my allergies went insane. The property says it has daily cleaning and maintenance, but that’s an absolute joke. From what I saw, maybe it gets cleaned once a year. Avoid this place at all costs.

Some beds have only a blanket instead of a mattress, so don’t expect a good night’s sleep. The beds were really dusty too. When I asked the staff to clean mine better, the owner said keeping it clean was my job and blamed the customers. Unbelievable. It’s okay if you’re desperate for somewhere to crash, but honestly, it’s not great. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have no other choice.
