Super Hotel Ueno - Okachimachi

I stayed in Tokyo for an extended period and was extremely happy I picked this hotel. The area is quiet, and I had some of the best uninterrupted sleep of my life. Staff were friendly and helpful whenever I needed anything. Fresh towels came daily, and there are coin laundry machines. I also liked the included breakfast and bar. Several subway lines are within a minute’s walk, including the Yamanote line, which gets you to most, if not all, of Tokyo’s main spots. There’s a Uniqlo and Don Quijote nearby for quick shopping. Lawson, Family Mart and 7/11 are close too, while Takeya grocery store is across the street, with a mini Daiso in the same building. The nearby park is good for a relaxed outing or local events, and it has a few museums. No complaints.

The room facilities were good, the service was nice, and the location was very good. My only issue was the air on the first floor. The breakfast and lobby areas smelled strongly of food, and the smell clung to my clothes and hair.

For such a busy, well-located area, the rooms were a decent size. The location is excellent, and there’s even a pillow menu in the lobby to choose from.

The staff are incredibly friendly and speak English really well. The location is central and convenient, but away from Ueno’s busy areas, and breakfast is delicious and warm every morning. My boyfriend and I have stayed at other hotels and Airbnbs around here, but Super Hotel Okachimachi is our favorite.
