The Moto Hotel Asakusa

I had to cancel because my husband injured himself and we needed to fly back to the US for urgent surgery. The property first agreed to a full refund, then refused it. They later offered a 30% refund and refused that too. I found the people here inconsiderate and dishonest, and would not trust this hotel with my money, safety or time. If they don’t care about customers, it will show in how they run the business. I’ve heard people describe Japanese people as kind and understanding, but my experience at this property completely changed how I imagined Japanese culture. I’ve never dealt with a group of people who felt so heartless. There are plenty of other hotels in Tokyo with exceptional customer service. Protect your family, time and money and go somewhere else. These people would leave you to die if they could, as long as they got your money. Go ANYWHERE ELSE!! If I could give zero stars, I would.

Our room was clean, the beds were comfy, and the price was great for everything we got. There’s a 7/11 a short walk away and plenty to do nearby, yet it was much quieter than other areas we stayed in. We made good use of the washer and dryer, and the rooftop was a bonus with great views. The staff were so kind and helpful. Honestly, this was our favorite place we stayed in Japan. I’ll definitely come back on my next visit.

After long days walking around Tokyo, it was great to come back to a place where the air-conditioning cooled each bedroom and the living room quickly. The kitchen had bowls, utensils and enough for coffee, snacks and breakfast. We were four adults, and the place worked perfectly for our first five nights in Tokyo. Check-in was friendly, everything was clean and tidy, and we’d stay again without a second thought.

The comic-filled lobby was a fun welcome, and the staff were really helpful. We chose this little hotel for convenience when we first arrived in Tokyo, and the clean rooms had everything we needed. Laundry was straightforward to use too. My family and I also tried a Japanese toilet with a cleansing function for the first time. You don't forget that experience! Arigato gozaimasu!
