Tokyo downtown

The apartment has a kitchen for cooking, working Wi-Fi, and room for luggage. It’s also relatively roomy for a small family by Tokyo standards, especially compared with places at a similar price. It’s an inexpensive way to stay in a traditional Japanese-style apartment rather than a hotel. Jujo station is nearby, with Shinjuku and Ikebukuro only two or three stops away, which makes getting around Tokyo convenient. The place can be tricky to find at first, though, and there’s no staff member to speak with in person, only someone you can call, so immediate help with a problem may be difficult. There’s no room service or housekeeping either, so you take care of that yourself. It can get damp during the rainy season, and there was some water leaking in a few spots. The AC can warm the room. Some appliances, including the gas water heater and AC, are in Japanese, so English instructions would be useful.

The apartment’s in a quiet spot and isn’t too far from Tokyo, but the heater doesn’t manage to warm the whole place.

The room was really good and had a nice size. But if you’re waiting for the heating, the room gets cold.

The room was spacious for the affordable price, though it’s a little far from the city.
