I'm staying here right now. The room is small, but fine for the price, and it’s clean. Service is great, the staff are very polite, and breakfast is included. The bathroom even has a fairly big bathtub. The location works really well, with the Yamanote line just around the corner for getting around Tokyo. I’d only change a couple of small things: the mattress and pillow feel too hard to me. That’s just personal preference, though. Five stars from me. :)

The room was clean, the staff were really friendly, and breakfast was included. It’s also conveniently located close to the Science Museum, which is a delight. I’d stay here again if I came back to the area.

The room rate is great and it’s easy to get to the JR station, so this is a good budget option. The room is extremely cramped, even by Japanese standards, and you can only open one carry-on at a time. Breakfast is complimentary but very basic. The supermarket next door isn’t much use to travelers, since it has no fruit or ready-to-eat food, just things for cooking at home. There’s a Family Mart on another corner.

The hotel is very clean, and some staff can speak English. The rooms are really tight, though. There’s space for two or three bags, which was fine for me, but my travel companions had a double room the same size as my single and found it much harder to manage. One thing to know about payment: Toyoko Inn charges you upfront, then gives you a completion receipt when you check out.
