UCHI Asakusabashi

The location is convenient, but there’s little else to praise. The air conditioning set off an allergic reaction and left my nose running all night. The TV was basically useless, and the internet was so bad that videos just kept buffering until I had to turn it off. The towels were extremely absorbent, but they weren’t changed daily. During our consecutive nights, the room wasn’t cleaned at all, and the trash wasn’t properly dealt with. We had just one trash can and one plastic bag. What was I supposed to use for the trash after putting it outside? I even developed cellulitis. I’m furious! 😡

I definitely won’t stay here again. The rooms were cramped, and the bathroom was especially narrow. The shared bathroom in the hallway was filthy, with stains and dust all over the toilet bowl. There weren’t any trash cans in the room, and no directions for how to dispose of rubbish.

The owner was asleep and only active until 11 pm. Unfortunately, he didn’t reply until the next evening, when we were away, so I can’t recommend this place. You can sleep well here and there’s a train to Tokyo nearby, but that’s about it. You’d rather spend your time outside, even when the weather’s bad.
