Viainn Tokyo-Oimachi

Compared with the other Via Inn hotels we’ve stayed in, this branch was disappointing and had the most unpleasant odor. Our bed linens smelled of smoke, and the toilet in our room had a foul smell, possibly from an opening near the bowl. We had to use the air freshener we brought as soon as we arrived. The lobby also had a strong smell of smoke coming from the nearby smoking room, so I’d suggest adding air purifiers there. It was hard to find the entrance and lobby because the signage wasn’t clearly visible on arrival, and remained difficult to notice even after it was set up. Clearer placement or more lighting could help. The microwave looked old and heated food very slowly. The nearby trash can didn’t feel hygienic, since guests sometimes left garbage there. It would be better to move or remove it. I hope management addresses these issues.

Our room faced another building, but the view was fine. The room itself was in great condition and very comfortable. The lobby was clean and peaceful, with a range of amenities, and checking in on the machine was convenient.

The soundproofing was excellent, which made the stay really comfortable. The hotel is also very convenient, close to a 7-Eleven, a train station, and a supermarket. There’s a self-service ice machine and a vending machine selling alcoholic drinks, too. Check-in is self-service, so foreign travelers should be aware that they’ll need to enter their home address during the process. I really enjoyed staying here and would consider coming back.

For a fair price, you get a quiet, clean room just a three-minute walk from the station. There are dining spots, coffee places, hair salons, a market, and shops all around, plus a 7 Eleven underneath the hotel. Laundry is available too.
