Super Hotel Tottorieki Kitaguchi

The room was basic but clean and pleasant, and breakfast was good. It’s right across from the station and very good value for the price.

Friendly staff, nice service, and useful amenities, including a public bath and drink bar. The hotel is also very close to Tottori train station.

I stayed five nights. The room was too small for two people with large suitcases, though the counter staff were polite and helpful. The laundry machine tore a corner of my husband’s clothing. We got no apology or compensation, so I guess you use it at your own risk. Laundry costs 300 yen. A friend who stayed at Super Hotel Ekimae told me it was 100 yen there. The hotel is near AEON, Starbucks, and other amenities and attractions.

The location is a big plus. The station, Maru-You (formerly Daimaru), the stylishly renovated city hall, Aeon, a huge Seria (100-yen shop), and a nearby barber are all within walking distance. The onsen is there for a relaxing soak too. Check-in is flexible, so you don’t have to hurry to arrive right at 3 PM. The automatic doors open to a layout where the front desk is easy to spot from the elevator, and self-check-in is straightforward, with staff close by to help. Guests can also enjoy all-you-can-drink service from 3 PM to 6 PM. Even when my OTA booking history wasn’t remembered, staff seemed to recognize me on return visits, which was a nice touch. During my stays, I haven’t encountered bedbugs, stained sheets, or dirty pajamas. Cleanliness and comfort seem to matter here. PS: Thanks so much for your kind words. I’ll definitely visit again!
