The staff were caring and friendly. When they noticed rain was coming as I headed out, they asked if I needed an umbrella. It was cozy and one of the most affordable hostels nearby. I got two free tram tickets at check-in, apparently to encourage foreigners to explore the area. Laundry was free, with a hanger and somewhere to dry clothes. My clothes dried quickly overnight in September, and a bath towel was provided. A few things to know: the floor by the kitchen was a little sticky, and guests have to remove their own sleeping sheets before leaving. Check-in is limited to 5-9 p.m.; it's a tight four-hour window, and arriving every 30 minutes after that costs 500 yen.

The rooms were quiet and clean, and I had some great conversations in the shared living space. It's a lovely hostel in Toyama run by university students. There's only one shower, but their time-slot sign-up system worked well.

I was travelling solo and had a really fun night here. The staff set up an enjoyable evening of board games with the other guests. The place was clean and close to the tram stop. Thanks Chippy and Banjo for a good time!

The hostel is run by students, and everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly. It felt more like a homestay, with guests and staff doing some activities together. The place was clean and well cared for. They also had good food recommendations, and it's close to the city center.
