Riverside Hotel Ebisuya

We stayed as a family, including a small child, and really appreciated the thought given to the bathroom and meals. The facilities aren’t the newest, but they seem well maintained, so we all felt comfortable staying there. The Japanese-style room was spacious and comfortable, with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and an air purifier that was especially helpful during pollen season.

The shared large bath had fairly limited hours, but the water was nice and hot, just right for unwinding. We stayed three nights on a business trip. The staff service was excellent, and the breakfast, though not a buffet, had plenty of tasty dishes with a comforting, nostalgic flavor. The building and facilities are old, but I found that part of the charm and had a relaxing stay. The hotel is along the Sakuragawa River, and the view is nice with the curtains open. The air didn’t feel too dry, so I slept well. This may not suit people who want an urban stay with the latest facilities, a brand-new building, and crisp new sheets.

We held a celebration for a group of about 70. The place has a retro feel but was very clean, and the owner was incredibly attentive. The staff served and cleared the food efficiently. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. We’d happily come back for another banquet or training camp.

I was on a motorcycle tour and stayed one night. The landlady kindly offered to let me park my bike right by the front desk, which I really appreciated. I’d recommend this inn to riders who care about their motorcycles.
