The owner was quick to respond and even arranged for us to feed the horses in the morning before checkout. We stayed over the holidays and found a beautifully decorated Christmas tree waiting for us. There are several fireplaces, a well-equipped kitchen, and generous living and dining spaces. A lovely place if you're in the area.

We came in at night to get ready for our Crane Sanctuary visit the next day, and were glad we chose this place. It’s very clean, with six beds, a large kitchen and dining area, board games, and a cool fireplace. For the location, the price felt quite reasonable. A really nice stay for me and my friends.

On clear winter days, it’s quiet and pleasant to sit with coffee by the woodstove. This cottage is set among the hills in Tsurui village, about a 45-minute drive from Kushiro city in Hokkaido. Tsurui is featured in The Most Beautiful Villages of Japan catalogue. The owners have horses and let guests spend time with them, so there’s plenty for horse lovers to enjoy.
